JACK CHARBONNEAU

Jack Charbonneau is the Director of Show Technology and Operations for Alliance TCC.

His introduction to live performance theatre began at the age of sixteen where he started his first job as a stagehand at Oakdale Musical Theatre, an “in-the-round”, summer-only theatre. Jack’s experience that summer started in motion his professional career, which now spans more than thirty two years and encompasses extensive experience in all facets of theatre production. From his introduction to the theatre business many years ago, Jack’s production skills include such key positions as Production Manager, Lighting Designer, and Head Electrician. It was not long before Jack became well known in the theatre industry for his unmatched professional knowledge and talent. That recognition produced numerous offers from various Broadway producers, and soon Jack found himself on tour providing his services to first-run Broadway road production companies. With more than fifteen years of experience in the “Broadway” genre, Jack’s work brought him to hundreds of theatres and other venues throughout the United States and more than fifty other countries. He provided his talent to such shows as:

The Odd Couple
La Cage Aux Folles
Annie Get Your Gun
Once On this Island
The Heidi Chronicles
I’m Not Rappaport
Doonesbury
Ain’t Misbehavin.

When Jack was not on tour, he could be found utilizing his unique skills at such theatres as:

Oakdale Theatre
Palace Theatre
American Shakespeare Theatre
Westport Country Playhouse
Atlas Scenic Studios
Meadows Music Theatre

In addition to his Broadway theatre experience, he has thousands of hours utilizing his numerous talents in the production of a broad range of music, including rock and roll, family shows, and special events. Jack’s many years of touring gave him the opportunity to work in and visit different theatres, concert facilities, and event spaces throughout the country, which equipped him with a unique insight into the production needs of a state of the art facility. As a technical consultant, he has advised theatre owners, architects, and designers in all aspects of production requirements.
